What's different about this job
Soil is workable roughly May through September above 6,500 feet. A whole-yard install has to be sequenced tightly or it overwinters half-finished — so we schedule installs against the thaw date, not the calendar.
What is included
- Demolition, grading and soil import
- Drainage and snow-melt runoff routed away from the structure
- Hardscape: patios, walkways, steps, walls
- Irrigation with drain-down points for winterizing
- Planting and rock, with everything chosen for zone 7a/7b
Sequencing
A full yard is one job with a fixed order: demo, grade, drainage, hardscape, irrigation, planting, finish. Skipping ahead is how you end up trenching through a finished patio.
We lock the schedule against the thaw date, not the calendar, and we will tell you honestly in August if the remaining season is too short to finish properly.
Working around an occupied house
Most of these properties are rentals or second homes. Give us the booking calendar and we will work around guest turnovers.
Sister company, not a subcontractor
A full design-build here still includes the planting. Picking up plants on your own, or planting without the rest of the job? Moonridge Nursery on Moonridge Road grows what actually survives at this elevation, and we send people there directly.

How long does a full yard take?
Small lots run two to three weeks. Steep lots with walls and drainage run four to eight. We will tell you honestly if the remaining season is too short and hold your slot for spring instead of starting something we cannot close out.
What's your minimum project?
We take design-build work from about $2,500. We are not set up for weekly mow-and-blow, and there are good local crews who are.
