What's different about this job
Most mountain drainage failures are not rain. They are four feet of snowpack releasing over ten days in March into a yard that was graded for summer. We size for melt volume and route it past the structure.
What is included
- French drains, area drains and catch basins
- Swales and surface regrading
- Downspout tie-ins and daylight outlets
- Dry creek beds that carry real melt volume
- Erosion control and slope stabilization planting
Size for melt, not rain
The design event up here is four feet of snowpack releasing over a week in March, not a summer thunderstorm. Systems sized for rainfall are undersized by a wide margin.
Where it goes
Every drain needs an outlet. Onto the neighbour’s lot is not an outlet. We find a legal daylight point or build one.
